My name is captain Blake Keulen and I would like to invite you aboard the storm force for some of the most exciting heart pumping, drag screaming, and arm wrenching fishing for salmon and trout in North America, located right in Winthrop harbor, Illinois at Northpoint marina. While safety is our number one concern on the storm force, our second priority is to work as hard as possible to provide you and your crew with as much action as possible and to have the most enjoyable charter experience as possible.
My experience dates back to working for my father and other great lakes captains as a 3rd generation great lakes fisherman in our family. I have been chartering and fishing the great lakes for the last 14 years. Coupled with being young, energetic, years of experience, and rigging the storm force for safe, comfortable, tournament style fishing I believe it will give the most experienced guests as well as the novice guests a fantastic time on the water, and I will provide them with a safe and productive charter experience on lake Michigan.
About Us
The Storm Force is a professionally mechanically maintained and cleaned state-of-the-art 36’ tiara sportfishing vessel. With over 800 horsepower we are able to run to where the fish are and get there smooth and quick to run to where the fish are without being limited to fishing within a few miles of the harbor.
All of the tackle we use is state of the art best of the best. We use all Shimano, Okuma, and ugly stick rods paired with Shimano, Penn, and Okuma reels. We have a tackle selection the size of most tackle shops to always make sure we always have what the fish want.
